Who is Life, Inc. Retirement Services?

Life, Inc. is an independent, full service retirement plan firm.  We create and manage 401(k)s and other types of retirement plans for small and medium sized business throughout the country.

Our headquarters are out of Columbus, Ohio, and offer services throughout the United States both digitally and in person. 

What is Life, Inc.'s role in a SDRA?

Out of the 3 roles of a 401(k) plan, Life, Inc.’s primary role in a SDRA is Third Party Administrator.

We handle any filings, compliance and annual testing.  We also will track your contributions into the plan.

We do ask that you give us at least 30 days prior to the end of the year to create plan design scenarios based on your current year’s income.  

What is my role in a SDRA?

Your role in a SDRA is to manage your investments based on your own investment philosophy.  Your investment limitation are based on the custodian’s guidelines you choose to work with.

Can I reach out for investment support?

No.  Opening a Self-Directed Retirement Account means you’ll act as your own investment fiduciary.  Life, Inc. cannot give investment advice unless we are given the role of investment fiduciary.  

If you prefer to have Life, Inc. act as investment fiduciary, please let your dedicated administrator know and we will make the proper adjustments.

Will Life, Inc. have access to my account?

We will have limited access to your plan.  However, we will still need periodic reports from you and will reach out when necessary.

What's the advantage of using Life, Inc. as my Third Party Administrator

When using Life, Inc. as your TPA, you’re able to use our custom plan document and make changes to your plan as necessary.  

You’ll also recieve planning and unlimited plan design support throughout the year.
